hi, i used to be able to connect to live with zero problems until the stock hard drive went kaputz on me. i have a new eeprom from ebay, a 10gb seagate never used on live and i used live info to edit the video and region settings. saved it as a .bin file and flashed it. that's after using slayer's auto installers to do a full format/rebuild to factory default. used configmagic to check and all the settings. ok, i connect to live and my ip, dns are configured and at the last stage it says 'cannot connect to live'. i connect to a linksys WRT54G router. i checked the MTU is 1500. the xbox needs 1365 or greater. under connect status, when i press y, i get these codes.
1.00.5971.01 W: 0000 - 0008 X: 0000 - F001 Y: 00c2 - 0320 Z: 0000 - 0000 L: 0 ms (0 ms) p: 0/0
Mt: 1(0015 - 00F0) IC: 1(0015 - 00F0) NT:0
i'm sure my network settings are correct as i've configured FTP, smb netwoking for video streaming from xbmc ... i reset my router to factory default twice and powered off and disconnected and reconnected. i didn't mess with port fowarding cos i didn't have to the first time i got connected to Live. i ran out of ideas. have you came across this case before? thanks man..

The video and region of the eeprom should be the same as your original xbox set. if u edit the eeprom to change the video and region settings XBL will not accept the changed eeprom. Do a check by flashing a unchanged version into your set. XBL will prompt you that your set is not the correct region, this means that the eeprom is "virgin" but incorrect. If the same "cannot connect to" appears your eeprom is a banned one. good luck hi, i used to be able to connect to live with zero problems until the stock hard drive went kaputz on me. i have a new eeprom from ebay, a 10gb seagate never used on live and i used live info to edit the video and region settings. saved it as a .bin file and flashed it. that's after using slayer's auto installers to do a full format/rebuild to factory default. used configmagic to check and all the settings. ok, i connect to live and my ip, dns are configured and at the last stage it says 'cannot connect to live'. i connect to a linksys WRT54G router. i checked the MTU is 1500. the xbox needs 1365 or greater. under connect status, when i press y, i get these codes. 1.00.5971.01 W: 0000 - 0008 X: 0000 - F001 Y: 00c2 - 0320 Z: 0000 - 0000 L: 0 ms (0 ms) p: 0/0 Mt: 1(0015 - 00F0) IC: 1(0015 - 00F0) NT:0 i'm sure my network settings are correct as i've configured FTP, smb netwoking for video streaming from xbmc ... i reset my router to factory default twice and powered off and disconnected and reconnected. i didn't mess with port fowarding cos i didn't have to the first time i got connected to Live. i ran out of ideas. have you came across this case before? thanks man..
