Hi all,
You can connect your xbox to your wireless network at home. Buy a wireless Ethernet Bridge!
Here are 2 models from Linksys
1. Linksys WET11 Wireless-B Ethernet Switch 2. Linksys WET54G Wireless-G Ethernet Switch
You can get them from MediaPro at Sim Lim Square
The versatile Wireless Ethernet Bridge can make any wired Ethernet-equipped device a part of your wireless network.
It's completely driver-free, so it works on any platform and under any operating system! Since there are no drivers to load, setup is a snap – just plug it into your device and configure the network settings through your xbox network settings

With a wireless connection (with Wireless Bridge) you can do the following stuff 1. You can connect to Xbox Live without wires (with modchip switched off) 2. You can stream video, mp3 or Divx video from your pc to your xbox using Xbox Media Player like a Wireless Multimedia Server/Stream Media Server(with modchip turned on) 3. To surf the net on your Xbox on your TV in the living room TV!, for this you would have to install Linux for Xbox on your Xbox, this would enable you to turn the Xbox into a Linux Workstation, you would need to purchase a USB dongle and USB mouse and keyboard to enable full functionality.(Very difficult to input text with the controller ) With this setup you would be able to surf net, do word processing and read emails etc...however you do need some expertise with Linux for setup. 4. You can FTP from your pc to your living room xbox to copy files, games without bringing moving your xbox to your pc or connecting a long network cable Hope this helps! Mechaman
